This policy explains what we do with the personal details you give us when you ask for a quote or get in touch. We keep it plain, because you should be able to understand it.

Who we are

Cornwall Removals is a removals company based in Cornwall, covering the county, up-country moves across the UK, and moves from Cornwall into Europe. For anything about your data, email us at hello@cornwall-removals.co.uk.

What we collect

Only what we need to quote and carry out a move: your name, phone number and email address, the pickup and drop-off addresses, an optional moving date, and any notes you choose to add. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence too.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, plan and deliver your move, and keep the records a business is required to keep. Our lawful basis is your consent when you contact us, and our legitimate interest in responding to and fulfilling the work you’ve asked us to do.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your details, and we don’t pass them on for marketing. We share them only where it’s needed to do your move — for example a vetted partner firm on a leg of an international or up-country move — and with the service providers that run our website, form and email, who process data on our instructions.

The tools this site uses

The quote form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to keep out spam and abuse, which is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms. If analytics is enabled, we use it only to understand in aggregate how the site is used — never to identify you personally. The site sets only the cookies these tools require.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and move records for as long as we need them for the job and for our legal and accounting obligations, and then we delete or anonymise them. If you’d like your details removed sooner, ask and we’ll do it where we’re not required to keep them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to how we use it. Email us and we’ll help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page. Please check back from time to time.
